Hypnotherapy

The ideal state for learning is when the brain is in a state or relaxation and focused awareness. Most of us achieve this state at some point every day. A typical time may be as we are drifting off to sleep or during a pleasant daydream. In that state of consciousness the mind is clear, receptive to information, and rapidly makes connections.

This natural state of deep relaxation is what we access during hypnosis. In that state of consciousness we can create profound changes in behavior and attitudes. Here is where we will set about achieving the goals you set out in our consultation interview.

The process is a simple one and my job is to guide you to achieve this state of deep relaxation. You will be asked to sit or lie comfortably with eyes closed. We then draw our focus to relaxing your body. Your mind’s relaxation will naturally follow. While you are in that relaxed state, you will be given positive suggestions and images to replace the negative patterns that are no longer working for you. Control is always in your hands. You will not be asked to do anything that goes against your morals, ethics, or will. You can end the session at any time.
